Order Entry allows you to take orders over the phone. Customer and product information can be found using an alpha search. The customer’s credit status and the availability of inventory are displayed. You can also use hand-held portable terminals for remote order entry. Pricing and discounting is done automatically with an override capability. All pricing changes are flagged and reported. Future Orders can be entered with delivery dates, and backorders can be held and released as needed. Invoices and picking lists can be printed on demand even while new orders are being taken. Orders can be reviewed using an order inquiry function or order status report. An order change application allows for order add-ons and for corrections to existing order data.
